Sedan, SUV or Premium: Which Taxi Should You Book?

Choosing the wrong vehicle is the most common booking mistake. Four adults with four suitcases in a sedan is a miserable five hours to Delhi. Here is how to pick correctly.

Sedan (Dzire, Etios, Aura class) - **Seats** 4 including the driver — realistically 3 passengers - **Luggage** 2 medium suitcases + 2 cabin bags - **Best for** city rides in Agra, station transfers, couples, business travel, one-way Delhi drops - **Why** the cheapest per kilometre, easy to park in the old city, good air-conditioning

Premium (Innova Crysta top, Camry, luxury sedans) - **Seats** 4 in genuine comfort - **Best for** corporate travel, hotel VIP transfers, weddings, guests who want quiet cabins and leather - **Why** better suspension, more insulation, presentable at five-star porticos

Quick decision rules

• Two people, city and station work → sedan
• Family of four with check-in luggage → SUV
• Five or six travellers → SUV, always, never two sedans if you want to stay together
• Business or high-value client → premium
• Monsoon or long outstation on mixed roads → SUV

Cost reality

A sedan is typically 20–30% cheaper per kilometre than an SUV, and premium sits about 40–60% above SUV. Over a 233 km Delhi run that difference is real money — but so is arriving cramped. Our rule of thumb: pay the SUV premium the moment you cross three passengers or three large bags.
