Itinerary
Golden Triangle in 5 Days: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur by Private Taxi
18 March 2026TaxiInAgra Team

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur form a loop of roughly 720 km. Five days is the sweet spot: enough to see the headline monuments without spending every morning packing. A private taxi with one driver for the whole trip is the most efficient way to do it.
Day 1 — Delhi Arrive, then Old Delhi: Jama Masjid, a Chandni Chowk walk, Raj Ghat. Afternoon in New Delhi: Humayun''s Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate drive-past. Stay in Aerocity or Connaught Place. *City driving: 45–60 km.*
Day 2 — Delhi to Agra (233 km, 3.5 hours) Leave by 8 am on the Yamuna Expressway. Check in, then Agra Fort in the afternoon and Mehtab Bagh at sunset. Early night — tomorrow is a 5 am start.
Day 3 — Agra sunrise, then Agra to Jaipur (240 km, 5 hours) Sunrise at the Taj Mahal, breakfast, then depart by 9:30 am with stops at **Fatehpur Sikri** and, if time allows, **Abhaneri stepwell**. Reach Jaipur by evening for dinner in the old city.
Day 4 — Jaipur Amber Fort in the morning (go at opening), Jal Mahal photo stop, Panna Meena ka Kund, then City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Evening at Nahargarh for the city view. *City driving: 50–70 km.*
Day 5 — Jaipur to Delhi (280 km, 5 hours) Depart by 9 am on NH-48. Optional stop at Neemrana Fort. Drop at IGI Airport or your Delhi hotel.
What a fair package includes
- Air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver for all 5 days
- Fuel, all tolls, state taxes, parking and driver allowance
- Hotel-to-hotel pickups and drops, all sightseeing transport
- Flexible timing — the car is yours, not a shared shuttle
Monument tickets, guides, meals and hotels are separate. Beware of "all-inclusive" quotes that hide the state entry tax for Rajasthan or add a return-empty charge on day 5.
Choosing the vehicle
Two travellers: sedan. Three to five: SUV — you will be in the car for 15+ hours across the week and the extra space is worth it. Six or more: a Crysta plus a sedan, or a tempo traveller.
Make it 6 or 7 days
Add Ranthambore for a tiger safari after Jaipur, or Vrindavan on the Delhi–Agra leg. Both fit neatly into the same taxi package.
TaxiInAgra runs Golden Triangle tours from Agra, Delhi or Jaipur with one vetted driver for the whole route, fixed pricing and a written day-by-day plan before you pay.
