Itmad-ud-Daulah

Built by Empress Nur Jahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, this tomb is the first Mughal structure faced entirely in white marble.

Its delicate pietra dura inlay marked a turning point from red sandstone architecture and directly inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.

Locals affectionately call it the 'Baby Taj' — a quieter, jewel-box counterpart to its famous neighbour.
